1. From this site which IOS image is suitable for you router or switches you can download and keep in 

TFTP Server.

2. Before up upgrading need to check the flash memory size. available memory size. 

the free size should more than the new image IOS file size.

check free space in flash memory:

# show flash

3. TFTP server accessible from Router. (copied New IOS in TFTP Server).

4. From router user  

     

# Copy TFTP flash

  

# enter the address or remote host:  ENTER THE TFTP SERVER IP

# Source file name  NEW DOWNLOADED IOS IMAGE

# destination file name ENTER

# erase flash before copying [confirm] :   NO

# Loading NEW IOS IMAGE

Note:

check tftp server

flash memory to copy it will take some time min 12 mins... finally copied.

# Show flash

 it will show 2 image file

1.  image name (ex. old IOS name)

2   image name (ex. New IOS name)

if reload it will load only number 1

so we need to configure the router load new image IOS. (2)

(config)# boot system ?

(config)# boot system flash <which image to load that image-name>

# show run

(config)#  no boot system flash <which image should not to be load that image-name>

#copy run start

# reload

#en

# Show version

We can fine image file name which model of the router and IOS versions

# show flash
